BBC Newsreader Kate Silverton has given birth to her first child, a baby girl which her and husband Mike Heron have named Clemency Florence Rose.
The child was expected at the end of October, but she finally arrived on 5 November at Queen Charlotte’s hospital in Hammersmith, central London.
The 41 year old newsreader had referred to her pregnancy as a wonder, as she’d feared that she could be unable to conceive. She had an operation to remove a cyst at the age of 29 which resulted in her losing an ovary, but the couple announced in May that Kate had fallen pregnant by natural means after four failed cycles of IVA.
Kate and Mike have described their daughter as “divine” and in a statement from her agent Kate declared that she had “big lips and big feet like her mummy”.
The couple were seen out and about just one day before Clemency emerged, taking some time out from all the demands of arranging everything for example nursery bedding sets and anything else required to get the house ready for the new baby.
When you’re planning on a brand new arrival there are many what exactly you need to sort out, from decorating the room to investing in baby nursery bedding to buying all the clothes and items your brand-new baby may need.
